Annika Ingrid is a Chicago-based multidisciplinary artist seeking to encapsulate the absurdity of the relationship between mind and body. Using an intimate, yet estranged female perspective, Annika explores ideas of the limitations of one’s body. Her works in sculpture, installation, and drawing aid in converting ideas of human nature and confront the observer. she graduated from columbia college chicago in 2025 with a bfa in studio arts.

My work is a meditation on the body’s presence and vulnerability, exploring how it is shaped by both internal and external forces. I see the body as a site of tension, where we often exist in opposition to ourselves. I use a combination of structured industrial materials and natural organic elements to express these ideas, reflecting the contrast between the body’s physical form and the complexities of its internal experience. My interdisciplinary approach includes sculpture, drawing , installation, metalwork, and olfactory art, each medium allowing me to engage with the body’s materiality, fragility, and emotional dimensions in different ways.
